We are grateful to have 51 seminarians in formation to be priests in Baltimore. They have courageously responded to God’s call, and desire to serve you one day as your parish priests – but they need your support now!
You might ask “Why?”
Vocations to the priesthood come from our youth groups, our schools, our parishes, and our families. If we ourselves do not take personal responsibility to support the raising up of priestly vocations, it will not get done.
Unless there is a dramatic increase in the number of men entering seminary for our Archdiocese, reports estimate that ten years from now, the number of diocesan priests serving in our 145 parishes will drop from 159 to 108.
We cannot settle for this. Jesus said, “Ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” So please pray for an increase in priestly vocations and don’t be afraid to invite young men to consider following Jesus in this great and heroic call!
And thank you for your financial support which enables us to continue to provide for each man whom the Lord is calling to serve in Baltimore.
“Thank you for your generosity to our future priests. We are grateful that these men have opened their hearts to Christ and responded to His call to serve in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Your investment in their formation, through both your prayer and your financial support, is of immeasurable value. May God bless you and always fill you with His love.”
